DR. BRENDA R. BINGHAM, M.Ed, CART, MAC, CCC & CLC

Dr. Brenda Bingham is a native Houstonian. She has been married to Lawrence Bingham for 25 years. Brenda has two daughters and three bonus children. She enjoys spending time with her children and traveling the world.

Brenda obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in History and Government from Texas Southern University and a Master’s Degree in Counseling from Texas Southern University. She has also obtained a PhD in Christian Counselor and Psychology at Christian Bible Institute & Seminary.

She is an active member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. Brenda is passionate, perceptive, and kind-hearted. She is a former educator and the founder of A Beautiful Mind. Brenda has earned numerous certifications as a Life Coach, Anger Resolution Therapist, Christian Counselor, and Master Addiction Counselor.  

Brenda’s career as an educator span 39 years. During that time she served as a teacher, school counselor, and testing coordinator.  Since 2001, Brenda has volunteered her time and talents at her church, Inspire Church. 

In 2011, she founded A Beautiful Mind, which is a nonprofit organization that provides holistic counseling to women who are survivors of domestic violence and rape. As a result of her personal trials and triumphs, Brenda learned the importance of practicing a holistic counseling approach. She understands physical, mental, and emotional health work in tandem.  It is her belief you cannot successfully address one without addressing all three. Her organization, A Beautiful Mind, also offers counseling services to at risk youth. Brenda specializes in counseling youth who suffer from substance abuse, anger, and mental health issues. With the release of her book Damaged But Not Broken, Brenda recently added published author to her list of accomplishments.
